Celebrate Captain Tom’s achievements over his birthday weekend
On the 6th April 2020, Captain Tom Moore set out round his garden to thank our NHS. One hundred laps later, he’d raised an incredible £38.9 million. His simple message of hope – “Tomorrow will be a good day” – inspired millions around the world and brought comfort and joy to so many during the pandemic.
Now it’s your turn to build on that legacy.
Friday 30 April would have been his 101st birthday and to honour him and his amazing achievements, we’re asking everyone, of all ages and abilities, to take part in the Captain Tom 100.
We have teamed up with the Captain Tom Foundation to invite you to take part in Captain Tom 100 from Friday 30 April to Bank Holiday Monday 3 May 2021 to celebrate Captain Sir Tom Moore’s amazing achievements and raise vital funds for Changes Bristol.
Get involved
All you need to do is dream up your Captain Tom 100 – an activity of your choice based around the numbers 100 – and do it any time and anywhere from Friday 30 April through to Bank Holiday Monday 3 May.
Your 100 could be walking 100 steps or running 100 metres, scoring 100 goals, baking 100 cakes, climbing 100 stairs, hopping 100 laps of the garden, building 100 sandcastles, writing a 100-word poem, flipping 100 pancakes – anything at all, inside or outside. It’s your chance to do it your way!
Fundraise or donate
Once you’ve decided what you’re doing, you can fundraise or donate to Changes Bristol and share your 100 on social media, using #CaptainTom100
