Boiling Wellness Update

Today at Boiling Wellness the apple trees were in full blossom.

We went up to the new bee area to find the bees very busy at work.

It was so nice to wander about the site enjoying the abundant life around us.

The willow is doing well.

From the top of the site you can see layers of Bristol; the urban part, allotments, the train line and the wild part of Boiling Wells.

The roof of the roundhouse was a riot of colour.

We followed a recipe for halloumi flatbreads that we had enjoyed in the past.

Mixing the dough is always a popular activity.

As is the kneading.

After rising, mint and halloumi were mixed into the dough.

A fire was built to roast the aubergines for the baba ganoush.

The aubergines were a beautiful dark shade of purple.

They roasted quickly in the flames.

While the baba ganoush was made, the flatbreads were baked.

Lunch was delicious as always.

The broad beans we had planted in a previous session were planted in the raised beds to continue growing.

Finally, we planted a variety of seeds and watered them.
